General Terms and Conditions

Data Privacy
Transfer of personal data to third parties does not take place.

Reservation of ownership
The supplied goods remain our property until complete payment of the purchase price.

Place of fulfillment and sole place of jurisdiction
Place of fulfillment and sole place of jurisdiction for both parties is our head office in Duisburg. Provided that the buyer is a fully qualified merchant or legal person under public law, it is agreed upon that the Duisburg District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the venue and subject matter.

The General Terms and Conditions are valid for all services provided by Dietmar Dreier Wissenschaftliche Versandbuchhandlung GmbH and are accepted upon placement of an order.

Risks will remain with the seller until acceptance of the goods by the buyer. Shipments on approval must be agreed upon at the time of ordering.

Prices of books and other published products of German publishers are usually set by the publishers and are liable to the fixed book price agreement („Buchpreisbindung“). As such discounts not recorded on the invoice cannot be granted. Foreign literature will be invoiced according to the original price. This original price will be recorded on the invoice in the original currency and converted using the daily rate of the ECB.

By purchasing one volume of a subscription the buyer is obliged to accept the complete works as they are ordered belonging together. Therefore a cancellation by the buyer is not possible.

Shipment costs
Delivery of books and loose-leaf works is postage free into the following countries: Germany, Austria, Swiss, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Greece, Turkey and Finland. For deliveries to other countries we charge for shipment, unless otherwise agreed.

Invoice amounts are payable immediately upon receipt.

Delayed payment
If the buyer fails to meet his payment obligations, in particular if cheques or direct debit are not paid, we are entitled to declare the balance due immediately.

If one or several of the terms and conditions contained herein are invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions. Divergent provisions must be agreed expressly and in writing.
